The article demonstrates that the introduction of a diagnostic approach is associated with technological elaboration, standardization, the availability of appropriate equipment, qualiﬁed personnel, organizational structure and the international recognition, as well as medical and economic eﬃciency. “Noncultural” automated technologies seem to be promising for practical implementation. Meanwhile, the progressin this ﬁeld requires serious consideration of a number of technological and organizational issues, e.g. standardization and the proof of speciﬁcity.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В представленной статье дается историко-технологическая оценка развития методов определения чувствительности микробов к антибиотикам и показано наличие отдельных периодов, ассоциирующихся с внедрением определенных технологий. Показано, что внедрение того или иного диагностического подхода связано с его технологической проработанностью, стандартизованностью, наличием соответствующего оснащения, квалифицированных кадров, организационной структуры и международного признания, а также медицинской и экономической эффективности. Представляется перспективным внедрение в практику «некультуральных» автоматизированных технологий.
