THE STUDY OF LEISHMANIASIS USING THE METHOD OF POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION

Abstract

The method of polymerase chain reaction is widely used in studying of various aspects of leishmaniasis. For the diagnosis of disease, screening research and identification of the causative agent a variety of biological materials may be used. The species identification of Leishmania is important not only for a choice of drugs for the treatment of disease, but for epidemiological studies, for identification of different ways of preventing it.
