"Ethics of Scientific Communications and Ethical and Legal Problems of Using Artificial Intelligence" at the 13th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Scientific Publishing of International Level - 2025: Development Trends"

Maria Nadinskaia, Head of the Publishing Center of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University), who is also a member of the Council on Ethics of Scientific Publications of the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers (ASEP), has been selected  to be the moderator of the section "Ethics of Scientific Communication and Ethical and Legal Problems of Using Artificial Intelligence" at the 13th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Scientific Publishing of International Level - 2025: Development Trends".

The conference, organized by the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers (ASEP), will be held in Moscow on May 20-23, 2025.

Within the section on the ethics of scientific publications Maria Nadinskaia will give a lecture “Who is the author? Problems and possible solutions related to authorship in biomedicine”. Authorship in scientific articles is one of the key ethical issues in the editorial policy of biomedical journals. Guest, ghost, fake authorship, lack of recognition of real contribution, lack of responsibility for the content of the publication, commercial pressure, change of authorship team after manuscript submission - how are such problems solved taking into account international recommendations? The lecture will be based on examples from the Sechenov Medical Journal.

The experience of the ASEP conference will undoubtedly contribute to the work of the editorial boards of the journals published by Sechenov University.
