UROLOGY

Abstract

The content of vitamins and relative biologically active substances including the products of lipids peroxidation has been studied in the blood of 115 males -patients of Department of Urology of I.M.Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. The patients have been divided to four groups: prostatic carcinoma (PC); high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (HG PIN) or precancer; mixed group of conditional control – low grade PIN, benign prostatic hyperplasia, chronic prostatitis or their combination; control group of healthy men without prostate pathology. Further statistically reliable differences have been found: patients with PC had lower level of antioxidants – lycopene, vitamin E and enhanced level of diene conjugates (products of lipid peroxidation); patients with HG PIN low level of vitamin C, total carotenoids and increased diene conjugates. The difference in vitamins-antioxidants levels in patients with PC and HG PIN has not been found out.

Abstract

Scribes development and validation of HPLC method with UV detection at 260 nm for determination of tenofovir in rabbit plasma. Plasma samples were treated by protein precipitation using methanol. HPLC analysis was performed on Waters Atlantis T3 column (5 μm, 4,6 x 150 mm), with precolumn Waters Atlantis T3 (5 μm, 4,6 x 20 mm). Acetonitrile –phosphate buffer pH 5.70 (16:84) at 1.0 mL/min was used as mobile phase. The standard curve was linear over the range 0.23 μg/ml to 112,98 μg/ml of tenofovir in plasma. Method precision (RSD, %) was 6.08 % to 12.36 % determined on spiked samples. The accuracy of the method (ε, %) was – 2.96 % to 14.55 %. The lower limit of quantification was 0.23 μg/ml. The method was applied to preclinical pharmacokinetics study of tenofovir drug products in rabbits.

Abstract

Paper Standardization of herbal drugs, containing iridoids (review) describes comparative analysis of methods, used for Tests (TLC, macrochemical reactions) and Assay of herbal drugs in main Pharmacopoeias (U.S. Pharmacopoeia USP 33–NF 28, European Pharmacopoeia 7.0, Russian State Pharmacopoeia XI-XII, British Pharmacopoeia 2007). Recommendations for using of modern methods of iridoids identification and assay in herbal drugs for development of Russian pharmacopoeial monographs are given.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify anatomic variations of the structure of urethrovesical segment in young men. Seized 60 urethrovesical segment the corpses of young men belonging to different somatotype. Carried out an anthropometric survey of men and makroanatomic study urethrovesical segment. The results obtained demonstrated the constitutional structure of the urethrovesical segment dependence in young men.

Abstract

Evolution of the approaches to diagnostics of DUI as the evidentiary base in law violations is traced; parallelism in the development of scientific beliefs on the nature of acute alcohol intoxication, scientific and technological achievements – on one hand, and legislation in the field of traffic safety, on the other is described Two principles of diagnostics are compared – clinical and chemical-toxicological, their advantages and disadvantages. Author’s point of view concerning optimal principles of diagnostics and legislation in Russia is formulated.

Abstract

Тhe paper of Shohin I.E., Ramenskaya G.V., Medvedev Yu.V., Yarushok T.A., Sheveleva M.A.1 is devoted to development and validation of HPLC method determination of topiramate in rabbit plasma with precolumn derivatization. Topiramate was extracted from plasma by dichloromethane. Derivatization was performed by dansyl chloride in borate buffer. HPLC analysis was performed on C18 column (3 μm, 4,6 x 75 mm). Acetonitrile – 25 mM phosphate buffer pH 2.50 (30:70) at 1.0 mL/min was used as mobile phase. The standard curve was linear over the range 0.95 μg/ml to 47.32 μg/ml of topiramate in plasma. Within-run precision was 1.55 % to 2.12 % and between-run precision was 1.67 % to 8.09 % determined on spiked samples. The accuracy of the method was 1.14 % to 19.62 % (within-run) and 1.74 % to 19.25 (between-run). The lower limit of quantification was 0.95 μg/ ml. The method was applied to preclinical pharmacokinetics study of topiramate drug products in rabbits.
